Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship is measured in decisions.

Argiri craftsmanship

No two blocks of marble ask for the same treatment. A vein may alter the direction of a cut. A change in tone may call for a different finish. Before any tool is lifted, the stone has already shaped the process.

01

This understanding belongs to a rare corner of the world. Kishangarh and Makrana are places where marble is not simply processed, but understood through experience, judgement, and an instinct that cannot be rushed.

In Kishangarh, every slab is chosen with intention. The right stone is never selected for appearance alone, but for what it has the potential to become.

In Makrana, that judgement moves from selection to the hand. Every object is shaped, refined, and polished by hand. Edges are eased until they sit comfortably in the palm. Surfaces are worked gradually, revealing the natural depth of the stone instead of forcing brilliance onto it. Sometimes the smallest adjustment, barely visible to the eye, changes the entire experience of holding a piece.

Machines deliver consistency.

The hand delivers sensitivity.

It notices the subtle resistance of the stone, the balance of a form, the softness of an edge, and the moment when nothing more should be taken away.

Marble craftsmanship detail

That is the beauty of craftsmanship. Not changing the nature of the material, but revealing what it has always been. That is the core of Argiri.
